Archive Location and Access

The Temple Emanuel Archive is located on the second floor of the Temple's North Greene Street location. Today, the archive holds meeting minutes, newsletters, oral histories, photographs, dissertations, printed material, and manuscripts documenting the history of Temple Emanuel. Temple Emanuel's collection is key to documenting the stories of the Temple’s members, affiliated organizations, and the Greensboro Jewish community. Some of the most important pieces of the collection include oral histories from temple members and meeting minutes for the Greensboro Section of the National Council of Jewish Women dating to the 1910s.

What does the archive have? For a list of its records see the Collection Inventory.
