Oral history interview with Nancy Ryckman, 2018

Partial Transcript: Today is Friday August 3rd, 2018 and my name is Scott Hinshaw.

Partial Transcript: I'd like to start the interview by asking you about your background.

Segment Synopsis: Ryckman discusses her family, growing up in Detroit and Toronto, Canada, and her early education.

Partial Transcript: So you came back to the States and you went to?

Segment Synopsis: Ryckman discusses her college career at the University of Michigan, where she attained her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She also briefly discusses her MEd degree, which she attained at UNCG.

Partial Transcript: Let's back up just a little bit and talk about what you did after your graduate degree.

Segment Synopsis: Ryckman discusses her first job as a Reference Librarian at the University of Nebraska at Omaha after graduating from the University of Michigan with her AMLS degree.

Partial Transcript: So, I think when I was looking around for another job out of Omaha, the advertisement for this position indicated that you would run a map collection.
