Ally Gilgen (01:00):
Artist Joey Martin incorporates Vickie Burke's liveliness and zest for life through the use of a warm color palette. His use of warm tones, including the orange sandy beach capture Vickie's warm and welcoming personality. Vickie's love for traveling is depicted through the globe, pinpointing destinations in the beach location. Vickie has expressed her desire to travel to places such as Australia, Africa, Ireland, Denmark, and Israel, and has emphasized her love for the beach. Vickie has been visually impaired since birth, but this hasn't stopped her from living her life to the fullest. Artist Joey Martin wanted to capture the auras of individuals through depictions of sound waves in his work. The multicolored soundwaves surrounding the individuals on the beach represent individuality and identity. Vicki'es humorous and fun-loving personality is depicted in the coloring of the work while her desires to travel and playfulness are depicted in this setting.
